Here's what went on in October!

Global Blue held their Singapore Annual Conference, inviting our Founding Partner Chloé Reuter to make the keynote speech on Chinese travellers in 2020. It was a lively and animated crowd and we look forward to Global Blue's next event!

Our research and insights division, Reuter: Intelligence, has partnered with ILTM China for the second year (images from last year's event), producing a new China Insight Report. Connecting with Chinese Luxury Travellers: Elevating Emotion in Digital China is available to download for free via our thought-leadership platform The Luxury Conversation.

Space NK invited Jo Malone herself to China. Jo Malone spoke with Chloé Reuter about entrepreneurship, courage and kindness in business and life, as well as introducing the 'Jo Loves' brand.

Atlantis Sanya unveiled a special treat for guests of its Amazing Splash Party – a surprise appearance by their newly appointed Brand Ambassador, celebrated actor Li Xian. Li Xian instantly made a splash at this epic pool party with his entrance, and joined party guests in exploring a one-of-a-kind waterpark experience at the resort's iconic Aquaventure Waterpark

Harrods celebrated Shanghai Fashion Week in style at The Middle House, with the launch of its first ever pop-up private members club. At the Penthouse Residence of The Middle House, the Harrods exclusive members club provided members with a retreat from the hustle and bustle of Fashion Week with luxury beauty, culinary treats and personal styling.

Whittard collaborated with another British icon, Jaguar, presenting a Tea Master Class at the Best of British exhibition. The exhibition included a visit from brand ambassador Chris Wood.

Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini opened their flagship venue in Shanghai's luxury landmark, Plaza 66. Bringing their premium experience to Chinese fans, Pierre Marcolini presented a range of seasonal specialties inspired by Chinese tea culture.

At the Atelier Swarovski SS20 press launch, a panel discussion was hosted by the Chief Editor of the Business of Fashion China, Queennie Yang. Queennie spoke with young Chinese creative talents who were in the Swarovski APAC Collaborative Program, talking about the relationship between crystals and fashion.

Canada Goose continued its stategic expansion through China with the brand's first location in Kowloon and second store in Hong Kong Island at Ocean Centre. The new stores and the new BRANTA collection were showcased to the region’s renowned fashion and lifestyle media.

Galeries Lafayette Shanghai, France's leading luxury fashion department store, marked its Grand Opening with the launch of the "Let's Celebrate Fashion" campaign to bring about the best of fashion, art and design for Chinese shoppers. The star-studded evening of activities saw over 1600 distinguished guests, including the French Ambassador to China His Excellency Mr. Laurent Bili, Mr. Wang Hua, Deputy Mayor of Pudong, and Philippe and Nicolas Houzé – respectively Galeries Lafayette Executive Chairman and CEO.
