Insight Report: The New Face of Beauty in China
Jerri Ng’s appointment comes at a time when the agency’s insights & research division, Reuter: Intelligence, has released a new Insight Report: The New Face of Beauty in China.
The report reveals sweeping trends such as Chinese beauty consumers are shifting away from big name beauty brands towards niche newcomers and looking to upgrade by paying more for organic beauty.
The study, which spoke to several hundred beauty consumers across first-tier cities in China, discovers that new e-commerce platforms, a demand for hi-tech, holistic retail experiences and the impact of Gen Z means that international beauty brands must understand the new tastes and expectations of demanding consumers in the world’s biggest beauty market.
